The McTimoney method of chiropractic

chiropractic treatment

The treatment is a gentle, whole-body form of chiropractic that makes up around one third of the profession in the UK.

A chiropractor corrects misalignments in the spine and other joints, releasing impingements on the nervous system and consequently enabling the body to balance and heal itself.

As well as relieving pain, the treatment optimises the health of the nervous system, which is why chiropractic can help with problems that are not directly related to the spine or joints, for example, digestive disorders.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO WORK?

Recovery depends on the nature and duration of the problem, age and general fitness and commitment to a treatment plan and advice given. An average of 4–6 treatments to begin with is a guide, and improvement is normally seen after 2–3 treatments.
